Living is easy on the west end of the island. There is s sense of place that has been untouched. The interiors needed to accommodate wet bathing suits and sandy feet yet visually and textually appealing for adult living. The home boasts a direct westerly view with long summer days of light filled rooms lending a peaceful glow at the days end.

SUMMER LIVIN' IN TOWN
This house circa late 1800's on milk street in town captures the essence of summer living while revering its past and easy access to the hub of the island, Main Street, Nantucket Island. Designed for family memories of the children's adventures with no fuss features a streamlined scale with warm colors not falling short of highlighting architectural features throughout. The house was raised in 2005 to accommodate a full lower level medial room, wine cellar, laundry and playroom.

JUNIPER HILL
The updated family room now glows with a glazed wall treatment in a safron tone, chenille on the sofa, linen on the windows and a custom wilton weave wool rug. The corner built in was designed by Donna Elle and built by Jim Bowers, master carpenter.

SHAWKEMO VISTA
Renovation was clearly the right solution for this house built up on a rise looking due north at Great Point Light out in the distance. Floor to ceiling windows existed throughout to assume the connection of the acres of endless moors in the surround. Clean lines and warm colors give this home a sense of being for a year round couple.

Sophistication abounds for this high powered couple who wanted to embrace their piece of the island. The home is built into the land with unassuming view of town and Madaket sunset. The furniture represents a strength in line while the textiles and placement form a connection while dancing in the playful southern and western light throughout the day.

ON POINT
The views from this vantage point on Abrams Point are astounding no matter the time of day of the season. The furnishings reflect the water and sky given the windows and abundance of light that pours through. Pattern and color give way to the feeling of living on an island full of sound and sights of being out to sea 30 miles from the mainland.

SURFSIDE CHIC
The colors of morning mist, foggy late afternoons and clear days adorn the interiors of this very hip, architecturally designed beach home still lending a presence of the old. A collaborative adventure with BPC Architecture and Cross Rip Builders, Rhett DuPont features visual and sensual forms. The textures, furnishings and lighting lend a style of casual elegance with a flair of femininity juxtaposed to the strong lines in the architectural field.

THE COTTAGES AT THE WHITE ELEPHANT
A rebirth to The Cottages on the property of The White Elephant Hotel gave new direction and life to color on the walls and floors with pillows and area rugs from Donna Elle Life's A Breeze collection. The furniture was specified and selected by Donna Elle using the Coastal Living Collection from Stanley Furniture.

Built in 1845, the first brick house on Nantucket Island, is now a major area inn on the island features an updated stylish parlor, library and reception while maintaining a reverence to the past.

A restored brownstone in the south end of Boston stimulated a nest appeal for the owners mid life adventures. Designed for enhancing warmth and glow with the existing pine floor boards and original fireplace with marble surround a place to call home away from home for this traveling couple.
